Structures, foundations and civil works for transmission lines, substations and demanding sites.
Discuss your projectThe engineering challenge
The structure above ground and the foundation below it are part of the same engineering problem. Our civil and structural consultancy supports transmission towers, substation equipment and associated site works, using project loading and geotechnical information to develop a suitable design basis.
Where we contribute
The scope is agreed around your project stage and available inputs.
Structural analysis and design of towers, substation main structures and equipment supports under the agreed loading conditions.
Pad-and-chimney, raft and pile foundation design, including transformer foundations. The foundation approach is selected using the loading, soil investigation and site constraints.
Pile foundation design for river-crossing and anchor towers, coordinating the structural requirements with the available geotechnical and site information.
Design and drawings for roads, culverts, drains, gates and fencing, alongside GIS and control-room structures, trenches and coordinated panel and internal electrical arrangements.
A defined scope of work
We confirm the required calculations, drawings and review support at the start of each engagement.
Share the structural arrangement, loading, equipment data, geotechnical investigation, site levels and known constraints. For river crossings, include the available river and foundation information so we can define the required inputs and design scope.
